What is ISIS?
The word "ISIS" is an acronym for "Image and Scanner Interface Specification." ISIS is an image import driver that offers a method for capturing images directly into software applications. ISIS has found widespread acceptance in the Enterprise Document/Content Management (EDM/ECM) world, where it is supported by all major applications. It is fast and uses a standar dized user-interface for all supported scanners to interface seamlessly with software applications. The ISIS Corporation specification is developed and maintained by EMC Corporation, who also developed the ISIS driver for Contex SD and XD scanners.
