| Frequently
Asked Questions |
|
| How
much will it cost to have my wide format systems/ 3 D Printer,
copier/scanner or my workgroup printing system under service? |
|
The cost of an annual service agreement
depends on the make and model of the system, its age, current
location and the monthly usage volume. We service the Southern
California region and can readily provide you with a quote
for the cost of an on site service agreement.
|
|
| What
is needed to put a system under contract? |
|
Upon your request we will submit a
service agreement to you and upon your acceptance we will
send a service engineer to certify the system before undertaking
the annual contract on it. If the system is non-functional
and needs immediate service then we treat that as a billable
call. When the system is certified then we undertake the contract.
You are fully covered for on site parts and labor beyond that
point for the term of your contract, excluding CRC's (customer
replaceable consumables as described by the manufacturer)

| Can
I call for phone tech support? |
|
Source Graphics prides itself for its
outstanding service team. Users can also obtain phone technical
support for minor problems that can be addressed via a simple
phone call. Unlike many manufacturers in the industry we don't
charge for this service.

|
| Why
should I get my service from Source Graphics? |
|
Source Graphics has been in business
since 1989. Our team has a proven track record of sales and
service to some of the largest organizations in Southern California.
Our service engineers are factory certified
and are fully qualified to provide the essential
repair that is needed to get a system up and running in the
shortest amount of time. We only work on a select number of
hardware products from leading manufacturers such as HP, Oce,
KIP, Vidar, Canon, Contex, Xerox, Z Corp, 3D Systems, GTCO,
CalComp, Seal and as such have a much better focus on the
service requirements of these systems.
Source Graphics is a Factory Authorized
Service Provider. In the case of some of our leading manufacturers
we are their service arm for doing warranty and post warranty
service. Your Source Graphics service technician is one that
has been fully trained and has repeatedly worked on the type
of systems you are presently using.

|
| Can
Source Graphics service my PC's and other printers in the office? |
|
No. We only work on the systems for
which we hold certifications and have the needed experience
to trouble shoot and repair a problem quickly. Additionally
we maintain a huge parts inventory to ensure ready availability
of essential spares.
|
|
| Can
I bring my system to your office or do you come to my place
of business? |
|
We offer both on site as well as depot
repair. Some of the larger systems are not conducive to being
moved around and we recommend a service tech on site for servicing
them. On the other hand for small printers, such as the Xerox
Phaser series, clients can bring their systems in and will
need to leave them with us so we can troubleshoot and subsequently
repair them. There is a flat fee for depot estimates and a
minimum fee of the same type for on site service as well.
We also offer an equipment pick up and return service for
depot repairs at an additional charge for those customers
who are unable to bring their equipment to us.
|
|
| How
are your rates compared to the manufacturers? |
|
Across the board you will save money
with us. Guaranteed. The service we provide is by service
technicians who undergo the exact same training as their technicians,
so there is no difference in the expertise. As a smaller regional
company we offer a lot of flexibility and work very closely
with all our customers to ensure their highest level of satisfaction.
Most of the large manufacturers including Xerox and HP encourage
clients to find a local authorized service provider that specializes
in their specific make and model of system.
|
|
| We
have many large format systems in our organization; can Source
Graphics service all of them? |
|
Our expertise covers pretty much all
the leading manufacturers so we are in a unique position to
be a one-stop service provider for all the departments.
Our service engineers have been through
the factory authorized training and certification programs
and are fully qualified to service your particular brand of
system at your site or at our service center.
We recommend an annual service contract
for all the systems we support. Maintenance contracts are
the least expensive way to go since they are budgeted and
fixed in their amount, plus our contract customers get priority
service.
